Communal Work Conducted to Clean Lancang Island

Thousand Islands Regency holds communal work together with local residents that is centered at RW 01, near eastern harbor of Lancang Island, Pari Island Urban Village.

We collect five cubic meters of waste

Thousand Islands Vice Mayor, Junaedi stated, this communal work is done to clean coastal areas of Lancang Island from the remaining of crude oil spills as the efforts to restore the environment.

"We collect five cubic meters of waste. Currently, coastal in the east harbor is clean from crude oil spills," he informed, Friday (10/25).

Regency Verifies Data of Residents Affected by Oil Spills

Meanwhile, Pari Island Urban Village Head, Sarjono mentioned, there are 100 joint personnel from urban village office, regency civil apparatuses (ASN)s, PPSU, PJLP, Satpol PP, Gulkarmat Sub-department, PKK cadres deployed in this communal work together with local residents and Pertamina officers.

"There is no oil spills on the location. Thus we collect garbage such as wood, bamboo, and plastic on the coastal side," he explained.
